Seeing the sun rising over the sea
As I bite into a sweet and juicy mango
Sitting in my pajamas
Sipping hot coffee so strong it’s nearly bitter
Handwriting these words
On a used brochure
Because that’s the only paper I found
With a pen so old
I have to grip hard to eke out the ink
These events coming together
Pieces fitting like a puzzle
Showing me the perfection in it all
Feeling deeply in gratitude
As I prepare for a beautiful day
